[ MISSION ]

INFORMATION IS POWER.
POWER BELONGS TO EVERYONE.

For decades, governments, corporations, and intelligence agencies have exploited data asymmetry as a mechanism of control. They track populations in real time. They know where you are, what's around you, and what's about to happen in your neighborhood. You don't. CivSurv was built to close that gap — permanently.

Every data source CivSurv uses is explicitly public. Seismic activity from the USGS. Flight transponders from volunteer ADS-B networks. Weather alerts from NOAA. Maritime AIS data. Wildfire hotspots from NASA EONET. Space weather from NOAA SWPC. Global event feeds from GDELT. We don't scrape private data. We don't hack feeds. We aggregate what's already public and present it in a way that's actually useful to civilians.

No scraped private data. No hacked feeds. No surveillance of individuals. No accounts, no cookies, no tracking. When you close the tab, nothing remains. Built to protect civilians — not surveil them.

“The goal is simple: every person deserves to know what's happening in their community in real time, without permission from anyone.”
RADICALLY OPEN

Every line of intelligence sourced from public domain data. No backdoors, no data deals, no corporate partnerships.

REAL-TIME

Flights at 7 seconds. Weather every 5 minutes. Earthquakes every 3 minutes. Tsunamis under 60 seconds.

PRIVACY-FIRST

No accounts. No cookies. Panic wipe clears all local state in one click. Privacy blur and incognito mode built in.

Platform Timeline
2024

CivSurv launched as a proof-of-concept — NOAA weather alerts + USGS earthquakes only.

Early 2025

ADS-B flight tracking, vessel AIS, global GDELT events, and air quality layers added. First 1,000 users.

Mid 2025

Scanner integration, predictive anomaly engine, geofence alerts, and the full OSINT/dossier layer shipped.

Late 2025

NASA EONET wildfire/volcano feeds, NOAA tsunami alerts, space weather dashboard, transit and power outage overlays.

2026 →

Community reports, global conflict zone mapping, nuclear/military infrastructure layer, Radio Browser integration — and much more.

[ PLATFORM ]

EVERYTHING IN ONE VIEW

15+ intelligence layers. 12+ live sources. One map. Toggle exactly what you need.

Live Activity Map

Real confirmed activity from OpenStreetMap — transit hubs, venues, emergency services, infrastructure — pinned exactly where they are in real time.

Aircraft Tracking

Every flight over your area via OpenSky ADS-B transponder feed. Squawk code alerting — 7700 emergency, 7600 radio failure, 7500 hijack detected automatically.

NOAA Severe Weather

Active severe weather alerts from NOAA NWS with exact geographic bounds. Tornado, hurricane, flood, ice storm — mapped before they hit.

🌀

RainViewer Radar

Live precipitation radar overlay from RainViewer — 256-tile global coverage updated every 10 minutes. Toggle on-map directly.

🌍

USGS Earthquakes

Real-time USGS seismic activity feed — M2.0+ earthquakes plotted globally, color-coded by magnitude with PAGER alert levels.

FAA TFR Zones

Active Temporary Flight Restrictions from the FAA — VIP corridors, wildfire suppression no-fly zones, stadium and hazard restrictions mapped as radius overlays.

🚢

Vessel AIS Tracking

Maritime Automatic Identification System data — cargo ships, tankers, and vessels tracked at major US coastal ports in near real-time.

📡

GDELT Global Events

GDELT Project event stream — conflict, protests, government actions, disaster response. CAMEO-coded, tone-analyzed, sourced from 65 languages.

Geofence Alerts

Draw custom alert zones on the map. Right-click anywhere to place a fence. Rule-based engine fires on confirmed activity crossing your zone.

🎙

Scanner & Audio

Live police, fire, EMS, and ham radio feeds via Broadcastify. On-device mic keyword detection — transcribed live, events plotted on map.

🧠

Predictive Intel

Anomaly detection using rolling Z-score analysis on all metric layers. Flags unusual spikes before they propagate. Crowd predictions via venue + event data.

🔥

Wildfire & Volcanoes

NASA EONET wildfire hotspots and active volcanic eruptions mapped globally. Real-time NASA FIRMS thermal anomaly feed with perimeter overlays.

🌊

Floods & Tsunamis

NOAA NWS river gauge flood alerts and PTWC tsunami warnings. Coastal and inland flood events mapped with severity levels in under 60 seconds.

☢️

Nuclear & Military

Nuclear power plants, research reactors, and major military installations worldwide. IAEA + OpenStreetMap sourced. Overlayable on demand.

Privacy by Design

Privacy blur mode, incognito operation, no account required, zero tracking. Panic wipe clears all local state. Built to protect civilians, not surveil them.

BY THE PUBLIC

CivSurv uses entirely open and public data sources. No proprietary feeds, no paywalled APIs, no government systems were accessed to build this. Everything shown derives from data already publicly available — we simply aggregate and surface it in one place, for free.

[ OUR COMMITMENTS ]
No user accounts or registration — ever
No advertising or sponsored content
No law enforcement data-sharing agreements
No VC funding or external investors
No private or scraped individual data
No persistent server-side logs of user behavior
Zero-knowledge panic wipe on demand
Monero accepted to preserve donor anonymity
Q: Is this legal?

Yes. Every data source is explicitly public. We access no government systems, no private APIs, no personal data. We aggregate public broadcasts and feeds already available to anyone with an internet connection.

Q: Who runs CivSurv?

Independent developers. No VC funding, no government contracts, no law enforcement relationships. Funded entirely by donations from people who use it. No corporate structure, no investors.

Q: What data do you store?

Nothing about you. All preferences live in your browser's localStorage. Server-side storage is limited to temporary in-memory caches for API responses — no user identifiers, no IPs stored.

Q: Can I contribute?

Absolutely. The data sources are all public, the architecture is documented. Reach out if you want to add new feeds, improve geographic coverage, audit the implementation, or contribute financially.
